Katherine Heigl, a brain tumor? JDM making a apperance?

US EXCLUSIVE: Katherine Heigl's Character May Get Fatal Brain Tumor on Grey's

Katherine Heigl could be killed off Grey's Anatomy next season, a well-placed source tells Us Weekly in its latest issue.

The idea came after Heigl, 29, withdrew herself from Emmy contention, saying that she didn’t feel she was “given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination.”

In response to Heigl’s griping, staffers are considering giving her character, Dr. Izzie Stevens, a brain tumor.

“[Producer] Shonda [Rhimes] and the writers are pissed at her,” the source tells Us. “It’s their way of screwing with her. She won’t know whether she’s going to live or die.”

Still, there’s good news for fans sad to see Izzie suffer: newly single Jeffrey Dean Morgan will reprise his role as hunky patient Denny Duquette, whom Izzie will see in visions brought on by the tumor.

And a second source thinks the story arc, ironically, may not be a bad thing for Heigl: “If her character does get a brain tumor, she’ll probably get an Emmy!”

A rep for ABC tells Us, “We can confirm that [Morgan] will be back, but we are not releasing any further details.”

The show returns September 25 with a two-hour premiere.

Ask Ausiello/Grey's

Question: I’ve got a burning Grey’s Anatomy question leftover from your TV Guide days: Which of those season finale smooches was the “major kiss no one would see coming” that Shonda Rhimes alluded to? — Denise
Ausiello:
Well, contrary to popular belief, she was not referring to Mer/Der’s candlelit trailer park pucker. As Rhimes tells me, although she feels all of the kisses featured in the episode “were worth leaning into the television for,” the one she felt was the most surprising “was Alex and Izzie. But my personal favorite is Bailey kissing Baby Tuck." I tend to agree with her. About Alex/Izzie. The Bailey/Tuck lip-lock was just awright for me.

Question: Is loose-lipped Katherine Heigl still employed at Grey’s Anatomy? Janice
Ausiello:
She showed up to this season’s first table read last week, so it looks like it. Oh, to be a fly on that wall.

Question: Got anything new on Grey’s? Please tell me they’ve gotten rid of Rose! — Michelle
Ausiello:
Nope, she (i.e. Lauren Stamile) was at the table read, too! And as my buddy Mitovich at TVGuide.com is reporting, she was doing what she does best: stirring up trouble!

Question: Please make my week by spilling anything you know about the Shonda Rhimes-penned two-hour Grey's season premiere. — Becca
Ausiello:
There will be a slight time lapse between the finale and the premiere. We’re talking more than a few days and less than a month.

Question: I'm dying for some Grey's scoop, specifically related to Callie and Erica. — Emily
Ausiello:
There’s a rumor going around that Callie will start off the season with a little McSteamy in the oven, but a reliable Grey’s insider insists it’s “not true.” That begs the question: Does a denial of scoop qualify as scoop itself? Discuss in the comments section below.

Grey's S5 News-McKidd

ABC is not officially confirming the news yet, but reliable sources tell me that Rome-ing Journeyman Kevin McKidd has just signed on the dotted line to join ABC's Grey's Anatomy for its upcoming season.

Playing a surgeon who arrives at Seattle Grace fresh from a tour of duty in Iraq, McKidd will first be (barely) glimpsed during the two-hour season premiere. McKidd's character, by some accounts, ultimately will play doctor with Cristina, who has been nursing a broken heart and a seriously bruised ego ever since you-know-who didn't stop talking skedaddled out of Seattle a season ago.

Grey's S5 News

TV GUIDE

Rose is no shrinking violet when it comes to getting McDumped by McDreamy.

Given the cozy, candle-burning climax of Grey's Anatomy's season finale, it's no big surprise that Lauren Stamile's run as Derek's girlfriend may be nearing its end. But the typically oh-so-nice nurse won't be scrubbed out quietly.

Sources tell me exclusively that when Rose is excised from the superstar surgeon's love life, though she plays it cool with Mer, she is far from Zen about the whole thing with the boyfriend. "I'd count on at least one emotional outburst," previews a setsider. "Rose is not her usual composed self with Derek."

What's more, although as recently as this afternoon the talk was that Stamile would only appear in the two-hour season opener, there are now rumblings that Rose may remain a thorn in the supercouple's side a bit longer.

So what's everyone's take on this??

Fics-MERDER what else?

So I'm already going through MerDer withdrawal. We have 121, yes 121 days left until Grey's returns!

So if anyone can enlighten me and write a continuation from that brilliant scene of the finale I would be forever in your debt...

I swear I could watch that scene over and over again, it's just brilliant.  The house of  candles ooh it just makes me cry everytime I watch it.

Meredith has really grown, and sorted through her issues!!!
I'm waving my TEAM MEREDITH FLAG!!!

FREEDOM-OMG

They did it, they really pulled it off.  I really didn't think we were going to see a believable reunion between Meredith and Derek.
But they pulled it off.  Brilliant!  Meredith was just wonderful, the way they had her sort through all her issues and realize everything, just wow!  I can't even put into words how much I loved this finale.  As pissed off as I was at Derek the last few eppys, he's working his way back up the McDreamy ladder.  Grey's is finally back!

New TV Guide Article-Greys

:

What's Next for Grey's?

I like to call these five upcoming episodes: Grey's Anatomy, Season 4, Part 2. Because for us, for the stories, it really does feel like a whole separate season. I came back to work after the strike with a whole new purpose, a new dedication. And a sense of hope. My best friend, Oprah...OK, in my head, she's my best friend, but in reality she barely knows me. But, secretly, I like to pretend I'm Gayle King, because Gayle is the person who makes Oprah laugh, and who doesn't want to be the one to do that? Also, I secretly wanna be Angelina Jolie. Because of the babies, and the Brad, and the fabulousness, but I don't have the legs...I lost my point.

My point is that Oprah would say I have renewed my spirit or something very sage like that. For me, that means I'm starting to enjoy this again. Really enjoy this. Feel the rich possibilities. So this season -- Grey's Anatomy, Season 4, Part 2 - is the season of hope. For Meredith and Derek. For Izzie. For George. For Bailey. For Callie. Hopeful things are happening. Meredith and Derek are going to get together for good. That's right. FOR GOOD. Now, if you think I'm going to tell you how it will happen, you're crazy. 'Cause it is yummy stuff. It is special. I spent a lot of nights lying in bed awake thinking about this.

These characters are my friends. They are people I know well who happen to live inside my head. I worry about their shortcomings and I celebrate their victories and I so, so want them to be happy. But more than happy, I want them to be brave. These episodes are about bravery. No ferry boats crash, no bombs explode. No one we love dies. But still, Meredith and Derek getting together - how they get together - is about bravery.

Alex is going to have to be brave, too. Because things are coming to a head with the woman we know as Ava/Jane Doe/Rebecca. And when it's over, he's never going to be the same. Cristina's struggling with the loss of Burke and what it means for her surgical career. She's going to do some things we have never seen Cristina Yang do. Izzie's already been through hell she's coming out the other side. George is growing up, becoming the man worthy of having Bailey's son named after him. Callie, Erica nad Mark are going to go through some changes that might surprise you. Bailey struggles to fix her marriage. The Chief makes a play for the woman he loves.

A lot happens in these five episodes. And it all ends with a kiss. A good kiss. A great kiss. A kiss so good it makes us lean into our televisions. A MAJOR kiss. As Derek would tell us "I'm all about the kissing. More kissing, I say." It's THAT kind of a kiss.

I can't tell you who's going to be doing the kissing. That's not how I roll. You'll just have to watch and see.

Thoughts, and Ramblings.............

So after all the Grey's spoilers.  I can only sit and think of what's to come for Mer/Der.  How will they bring them back together.

I just can't figure out in only a few eppys how it's going to be pulled off.  With Rose still in the picture and Derek not even realizing he also has issues that haven't been dealt with yet.  But I'm beyond thrilled to know that Mer/Der will get their happily ever after.  I love this couple.

It's driving me insane to try and piece together how it's all going to come together.

Will there be a ring, won't there be a ring?  Will there be house plans again?  Will there be a baby, I mean the list is endless...  Or maybe none of the above..  I wish I had some kind of clue!  I hate surprises, I hate waiting....

37 more days to go.  For now I'll just lose myself in fanfic land.

Sorry I'm rambling again............

4.11 Lay Your Hands on me

I have finally calmed down enough to write what I thought of the eppy.  At first I was upset, they broke up.  If you don't know who I'm talking about, you're clearly not a Mer/Der fan.  But I believe in order for them to get to the next step they need to break up.
Mer is facing her issues and maybe she does need to focus on herself without Derek.  Derek, I can't say I can understand how he can go from the love of his life to kissing a nurse and then asking her out.  But he can be hard to figure out sometimes.  He doesn't think with his head, and he doesn't know how to be alone.  He wants the dream, the house, the kids, the marriage.  What he isn't realizing is having all of that without the one person, the love of his life, isn't going to be what he really wants.  Is having all that with someone else really worth losing the love of your life?  I'm hoping Rose will open your eyes and make you see and appreciate Meredith.  She is trying, she is getting there.  I know it might not seem fair to Derek, but when you love someone, the way he loves her, he should be waiting.  He needs to get through his issues.  He is an avoider to.  So while Meredith is growing and working on herself, Derek will date.  Derek will avoid his issues.  But Derek will soon realize that having the dream he thinks he wants so bad, isn't worth it, if the love of your life isn't in the picture.
